Catalog Information

CLEVELAND, OH—(March 2004)—A new series of torque testers for precision assembly tools has been announced by ASG, a Division of Jergens, Inc.  ASG is located at 15700 S. Waterloo Rd., Cleveland, OH 44110.  Telephone (216) 486-6163  Fax (216) 481-4519.  Inquiries should be directed to Mike Starick.    • E-mail: asginfo@asg-jergens.com  • Web: www.asg-jergens.com

The new DTT series torque testers feature many new functions that distinguish them from similar bench top torque testers.  Up to 200 readings can be stored in memory with time/date stamp.  They can easily download collected data to a personal computer, exporting to Excel® spreadsheets for reporting or further manipulation.

Additionally, new DTT testers have nine user-selectable engineering units: kgf•cm, gf•cm, kgf•m, mN•m, cN•m, N•m, ozf•in, lbf•in, and lbf•ft.  Also user-selectable is an Auto Reset Mode, which speeds use by avoiding manual resetting between readings.  When desired, the testers can “beep” to indicate a user-set torque range has been met.  The testers are compact, with a 7 1/8" x 4 3/8"  footprint.

Three versions are available: the DTT-5 is for torques from 0.025-5 lbf•in; the DTT-10 is for 0.050-10 lbf•in: the DTT-100 is for 0.500-100 lbf•in. Accuracy is greater than ± .2% of full scale.  Each comes with a certificate of calibration traceable to N.I.S.T.
