TWO NEW SERIES OF TORQUE TESTERS ANNOUNCED
CLEVELAND, OH– January 30, 2006 – ASG, a division of
Jergens, Inc. has announced two new series of digital torque testers. The
HP-Series of portable testers is for all screwdrivers, both electric and
manual, except those with impact clutches.
They provide on-the-spot calibration, with Maximum, Minimum and Average torque
readings. Torque measurement range is 0.015 – 9.00 lbf•in for the HP-10 tester
and l.5 – 90 1bf•in for the HP-1000 tester.
The new HDP-Series of torque testers is for quality control auditing use. They
can measure the removal torque of fasteners, bottle caps, and other containers,
as well as be used to calibrate tools, measure shear strength or material
strength. Up to 100 readings can be stored in memory. Two measurement ranges
are available, from 0.15 – 4.40 lbf•in or 1.5 – 90.0 lbf•in.
Both the HP Series and HPD Series products can output data for SPC use via an
optional adapter and cable. Both come with a certificate of calibration
traceable to N.I.S.T. as well as aluminum carrying case, battery and battery
charger.
